As part of the project, we organised Polish language lessons for the parents assisted by the association. Thanks to the lessons, the parents acquired new skills and felt more free and independent in their daily activities, such as running errands in offices and schools. We also organised computer courses for them, which gave them the skills they needed to, for example, look for a job or a flat on the Internet. Another activity provided was the holding of respite workshops, which had a therapeutic effect - families had the chance to relax and escape a little from the problems of everyday life. We also held lectures on the employment system and special education, in which we explained issues such as the different types of contract (employment contract, contract of mandate) or how special education is provided in Poland.
