Patchwork Association

Association for immigrant families of persons with disabilities

Get to know us better

Patchwork is an association in which We bring together many immigrant and refugee stories and stitch them into one common.

It all started in 2019 with informal meetings in Krakow, which over time have developed into a thriving organism, supporting refugees and immigrants throughout Malopolska.

In our activities we provide care primarily for independent refugee and immigrant mothers raising children with disabilities. As founders of Patchwork, we share this experience with our charges, because we know and understand their needs well..

Supporting refugees and immigrants

In our activities we provide emotional, social and practical support for our families. We organise rehabilitation, workshops and language courses for refugees, which enable newcomers to make a smooth start to their new life in Poland.

We are creating a social enterprise

We want our families to become independent as soon as possible. That is why, together with refugee and immigrant mothers, we have created a handicraft shop and a manicure service salon

They trusted us

Our activities

At Patchwork, we meet people who need to quickly find their way in a completely new reality. In our activities we help im discover talents and skills, necessary for a smooth adaptation in Poland.

Integration and Support Centre

In Patchwork we give necessary information on legalisation of residence, health care and work. We help you enrol with doctors, provide psychological support.

Workshops and courses

We organise activities improving the skills of our mothers. We teach Polish and English (online and offline), conduct workshops on e.g. running a business, operating computer programmes, etc.

Rehabilitation for children and adolescents

We provide support for children and people up to the age of 25 with any type of disability. Among other things, we provide speech therapy, sensory integration and physiotherapy classes. In addition, we offer respite care for several hours for our families.

Social enterprise

We opened a shop with handicrafts made by our mothers, as well as a manicure salonwhere refugees and immigrants are employed. We are committed to providing legal work for those who need it and to raising funds for our activities.
